Tutoring Philosophy

The joy of tutoring is getting to know the unique individuals I work with. Each session is geared towards the student’s needs and tastes. When teaching math, for example, I ask about the student’s initial approach to a problem so I can help them finish it in a way that feels natural.

When preparing students for standardized tests, I use real tests whenever possible and update families with the latest scores. I teach students the psychological approach needed to succeed on standardized tests, as well, of course, as content and test-taking strategies.
